Il cl\u00f4ture ce soir la s\u00e9lection 2021 de l\u2019ACID.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Aya est n\u00e9e et a grandi sur l\u2019\u00eele de Lahou, \u00e0 une cinquantaine de kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019Abidjan. Elle y vit avec sa m\u00e8re et son petit fr\u00e8re, au rythme de la mer, celui des vagues, qui bercent et qui effacent. Car la mer peu \u00e0 peu grignote la terre. Sa plage disparait. De la ville qu\u2019ont connue ses a\u00een\u00e9s ne restent que des miettes, tout juste un village, quelques bateaux de p\u00eache, et un cimeti\u00e8re, dont on vide jour apr\u00e8s jour les tombes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Aya voudrait r\u00e9sister \u00e0 cette lente \u00e9rosion. Alors elle s\u2019oublie dans son quotidien, fait de travaux et de jeux. Elle aide sa m\u00e8re, prend soin de son fr\u00e8re, grimpe au cocotier, et r\u00eave sur le sable. Elle ne r\u00eave pas tant d\u2019un ailleurs, que d\u2019un autre temps, un avant joyeux et apais\u00e9, o\u00f9 la mer \u00e9tait une alli\u00e9e. Un double mouvement de d\u00e9part forc\u00e9 plus que de fuite, d\u2019arrachement plus que d\u2019abandon, induisant une perte de rep\u00e8res et d\u2019identit\u00e9 d\u2019autant plus douloureuse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Le film de Simon Coulibaly Gillard convainc tant par la contagieuse vitalit\u00e9 d\u2019Aya, que par la beaut\u00e9 de l\u2019image, le souffle de l\u2019oc\u00e9an, un oc\u00e9an aussi versatile que volubile, qui semble murmurer \u00e0 l\u2019oreille des habitants. Le r\u00e9alisateur assure l\u2019image, le son, la continuit\u00e9, et la direction artistique, tandis que deux assistants r\u00e9alisateurs assurent les traductions comme les contacts avec les habitants de l\u2019\u00eele, acteurs amateurs rejouant leur pr\u00e9sent. Tout comme la mer, antagoniste principal, les paysages s\u2019inscrivent dans le r\u00e9cit, racontent leurs grandes et petites histoires.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Et l&rsquo;on retient les sc\u00e8nes nocturnes o\u00f9 l\u2019on voit des hommes ouvrir en silence des tombes pour transf\u00e9rer dans des bo\u00eetes de plastique les restes des anc\u00eatres morts sur l\u2019\u00eele, comme autant de gardiens impuissants de l\u2019histoire, qui tentent vaille que vaille de retenir la m\u00e9moire qui file comme du sable entre leurs doigts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-238556\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7965-800x421.jpg\" alt=\"Aya-Simon-Gillard\" width=\"618\" height=\"325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7965-800x421.jpg 800w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7965-480x253.jpg 480w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7965-768x404.jpg 768w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7965-1536x809.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7965.jpg 1912w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Les qualit\u00e9s immersives de la mise en sc\u00e8ne nous plonge dans un r\u00e9el lointain qui brasse des th\u00e9matiques universelles, et scelle le destin d\u2019une Afrique occidentale rong\u00e9e par l\u2019exode rurale. Aya finira par devoir partir, comme tant d\u2019autres avant elle. Elle partira, mais jamais n\u2019oubliera. Bouscul\u00e9e par la vie nocturne d\u2019une jungle citadine qu\u2019elle affronte avec courage, soif de vivre et d\u00e9termination, Aya, passe un cap, comme elle peut. Aya fille d\u2019Abidjan, \u00e0 jamais de Lahou.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Aya<\/i> est le premier long m\u00e9trage de Simon Coulibaly Gillard. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 avec le soutien du fonds d\u2019aide aux productions l\u00e9g\u00e8res lanc\u00e9 il y a quelques ann\u00e9es par la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Wallonie Bruxelles, et dont sont \u00e9galement issus des films comme <em>Fils de Plouc<\/em> ou <em>Une vie d\u00e9mente<\/em>.
