De slotfilm is meteen de Belgische premi\u00e8re van Claude Lelouchs jongste worp<em>. <\/em>In 1966 gooide\u00a0zijn debuutfilm\u00a0<em>Un homme et une femme<\/em> hoge ogen, wat hem de Palm d&#8217;Or opleverde in Cannes de Oscar voor beste buitenlandse film. Met\u00a0<em>Les plus belles ann\u00e9es d&#8217;une vie\u00a0<\/em>is Lelouch toe aan zijn 49ste film.<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Louis Trintignant (<em>Amour, Il Conformista<\/em>) speelt een voormalige racer die in een rusthuis woont waar hij enkel sporadisch zijn erg geduldige zoon herkent. Zijn jeugdige jaren liggen al lang achter hem en herinneringen uit zijn verleden komen slechts af en toe naar boven. Zijn zoon gaat op zoek naar zijn oude geliefde Anne, gespeeld door Anouk Aim\u00e9e (<em>Un homme et une femme, La Dolce Vita<\/em>), en de twee ontmoeten elkaar.
