De achtenvijftigjarige Khadija valt na een lange werkdag \u2018s avonds laat in slaap op de metro. Wanneer ze wakker wordt aan de eindhalte, heeft ze geen andere keuze dan de tocht naar huis te voet verder te zetten. Deze nachtelijke tocht dwingt haar om hulp te vragen en te geven aan de andere bewoners van de nacht.<\/p>\n<p>De hoofdrol wordt vertolkt door Saadia Benta\u00efeb. Belangrijke bijrollen zijn weggelegd voor Nora Dari, Maaike Neuville en Willy Thomas. Voor de cinematografie deed Bas Devos beroep op Grimm Vandekerckhove. Dieter Diependaele stond in voor de montage en Boris Debackere verzorgde het geluid. De muziek is van de hand van Brecht Ameel.<\/p>\n<p>Ghost Tropic is een productie van Marc Goyens voor Quetzalcoatl samen met Nabil Ben Yadir en Benoit Roland voor 10.80 films en Tomas Leyers voor Minds Meet; in coproductie met Proximus en het Nederlandse Phanta Film. Wereldwijd wordt de film vertegenwoordigt door de Chinese sales agent Rediance.<\/p>\n<p>Het internationaal filmfestival in het Mexicaanse Guanajuato is \u00e9\u00e9n van de belangrijkste filmfestivals in Latijns Amerika. De 22ste editie vond plaats van 19 tot 28 juli.<\/p>\n<p>Bij ons zal Ghost Tropic in premi\u00e8re te zien zijn tijdens het Film Fest Gent in oktober.
