De film bokst\u00a0een thuismatch want op de dag van release\u00a0wordt <em>COOL ABDOUL<\/em>\u00a0in\u00a0premi\u00e8re getoond tijdens\u00a0Film Fest Gent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>COOL ABDOUL<\/em> is de eerste langspeelfilm van regisseur <strong>Jonas Baeckeland<\/strong> en kan rekenen op een mooie hoofdcast met onder andere <strong>Nabil Mallat<\/strong> (Isma\u00efl), <strong>Anemone Valcke<\/strong> (Sylvie), <strong>Johan Heldenbergh<\/strong> (Ron) en<strong> Steef Cuijpers<\/strong> (Mike).\u00a0<strong>Fikry El Azzouzi<\/strong> maakt met deze film zijn debuut als filmscenarist. Het scenario werd geschreven door hem, Jonas Baeckeland en <strong>Wouter Van Haver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-239804 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-96-191x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-96-191x270.jpg 191w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-96-425x600.jpg 425w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-96-768x1084.jpg 768w, https:\/\/w-l-c.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-96.jpg 850w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/>Daarnaast werd <em>COOL ABDOUL<\/em> ook geselecteerd voor het Internationaal Film Festival van Toronto (TIFF) als Industry Selects en wordt voorgesteld\u00a0op het TIFF Digital Cinema Pro-platform.<\/p>\n<p><em>COOL ABDOUL<\/em> wordt geproduceerd door<strong> Lize Lefaible<\/strong> en <strong>Peter De Maegd\u00a0<\/strong>voor <strong>Potemkino<\/strong>, in co-productie met N279 Entertainment (NL) &amp; Beluga Tree (BE).
