Cool Abdoul<\/em>, de biopic over\u00a0de \u2018rise and fall\u2019 van de beroemde\/beruchte Gentse bokslegende Isma\u00efl \u2018Cool\u2019 Abdoul, komt op vrijdag 15 oktober 2021 naar de Vlaamse zalen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cool Abdoul<\/em> bokst\u00a0een thuismatch op de dag van release, dan wordt de film namelijk in\u00a0premi\u00e8re getoond op\u00a0Film Fest Gent<\/strong>. Het is de eerste langspeelfilm van regisseur Jonas Baeckeland<\/strong> en kan rekenen op een mooie hoofdcast met onder andere Nabil Mallat<\/strong> (Isma\u00efl), Anemone Valcke<\/strong> (Sylvie), Johan Heldenbergh<\/strong> (Ron) en Steef Cuijpers<\/strong> (Mike).<\/p>\n

Fikry El Azzouzi<\/strong> maakt met deze film zijn debuut als filmscenarist. Het scenario werd geschreven door hem, Jonas Baeckeland en Wouter Van Haver<\/strong>.\u00a0Cool Abdoul<\/em> werd geproduceerd door Lize Lefaible<\/strong> en Peter De Maegd\u00a0<\/strong>van\u00a0Potemkino<\/strong>, in co-productie met N279 Entertainment (NL) & Beluga Tree (BE).<\/p>\n

Anemone Valcke is momenteel ook te horen in Storm Lara<\/em>, een vierdelige dramareeks op Streamz. Ze speelt een vaak terugkerende beller in het radioprogramma van hoofdrolspeelster\u00a0Ella Leyers<\/strong> (Professor T<\/em>., De 13 Geboden<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Daarnaast schrijft Valcke momenteel aan een eigen reeks,\u00a0No hard feelings<\/em> kreeg in maart scenariosteun van het VAF. Ze schrijft de serie samen met bevriende actrice Charlotte De Bruyne<\/strong> en schrijver\/regisseur\u00a0Sophie Kurpershoek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
