Ik ben erg trots om te zien dat de film de taalgrens overschrijdt en dat hij een Engelssprekend publiek kan bereiken&#8221;<\/span><\/em>, zegt de regisseuse.<\/p>\n<p>Zo vervolgt de film haar zegetocht op de internationale festivals. Het begon met de bijzonder geslaagde\u00a0wereldpremi\u00e8re in Cannes, waar\u00a0een minutenlange staande ovatie de cast en regisseuse tot tranen toe bewoog en de film de\u00a0Fipresci-prijs\u00a0van de filmkritiek in de Un Certain Regard-sectie wegkaapte. Vervolgens viel\u00a0<em>Un Monde<\/em>\u00a0nog in de prijzen in Guanajuato, Oursense, Sarajevo en volgden festivalselecties in o.a. San Sebastian, Valenciennes en Hamburg. Terwijl haar vader wil dat ze spreekt, wil haar broer dat ze zwijgt.\u00a0Nora hoopt vooral nieuwe vrienden te maken, waardoor ze voor een verscheurende keuze staat.\u00a0Een meeslepende duik in het\u00a0niet zo onschuldige leven op school.<\/p>\n<p><em>Un Monde<\/em>\u00a0is geschreven en geregisseerd door Laura Wandel. Het jong talent Maya Vanderbeque vertolkt de rol van Nora, G\u00fcnter Duret neemt de rol van Nora&#8217;s broer Abel op zich.\u00a0Daarnaast zijn er ook belangrijke rollen voor Karim Leklou (Nora en Abels vader) en\u00a0<strong>Laura Verlinden\u00a0<\/strong>(<i>Image, Le\u00a0Tout nouveau testament<\/i>)<em>.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><em>Un Monde<\/em>\u00a0is\u00a0een 100% Belgische productie, met als hoofdproducent\u00a0Dragons Films en coproducent het Gentse productiehuis <strong>Lunanime<\/strong>. De film kwam tot stand met steun van\u00a0Centre du Cin\u00e9ma et de l&#8217;Audiovisuel de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Wallonie-Bruxelles, het\u00a0Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), Wallimage, VOO &amp; BeTV, Lumi\u00e8re Invest &amp;\u00a0Tax Shelter van de Belgische Overheid.
