Zij vertolken samen met <strong>Loubna Azabal<\/strong> de hoofdrollen in\u00a0<strong><em>Rebel<\/em><\/strong>, de vijfde\u00a0langspeelfilm van het regisseursduo<strong> Adil &amp; Bilall<\/strong><em>,<\/em>\u00a0een productie van Oscarwinnaar <strong>Bert Hamelinck<\/strong> en <strong>Dimitri Verbeeck<\/strong> voor<strong> Caviar<\/strong> (<em>Black<\/em>,<em> War Pony<\/em>). Andere grote rollen worden gespeeld door\u00a0o.a. <strong>Tara Abboud<\/strong>, <strong>Younes Bouab<\/strong> en <strong>Sa\u00efd Boumazoughe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Rebel <\/strong><\/em>gaat op 26 mei 2022 in wereldpremi\u00e8re op het Filmfestival van Cannes, waar de film tijdens de &#8216;midnight screening&#8217; wordt getoond aan het grote publiek.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"REBEL | Exclusieve clip\" width=\"618\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fNVgCJN3TVI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Wanneer Kamal besluit zijn leven te beteren, verlaat hij Belgi\u00eb om oorlogsslachtoffers in Syri\u00eb te helpen. Maar eens aangekomen wordt hij al snel gedwongen om zich bij een gelovige militie aan te sluiten en zit hij vast in Raqqa. Ondertussen wordt zijn jongere broer Nassim thuis in Brussel een gemakkelijke prooi voor radicale rekruteerders, die hem beloven hem te herenigen met zijn grote broer. Hun moeder, Leila, vecht om het enige wat ze nog heeft te beschermen: haar jongste zoon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Naast Adil\u00a0en Bilall, schreven ook o.a. <strong>Kevin Meul<\/strong> en<strong> Jan Van Dyck<\/strong> mee aan het scenario. \u200b<strong>Robrecht Heyvaert<\/strong> tekende voor de fotografie, terwijl <strong>Hannes De Maeyer<\/strong> instond voor de originele score.
