In 2015 werd ze geselecteerd voor Berlinale Talents.<\/p>\n<p>Naast fictie regisseerde Huyghe ook documentaires. Samen met Maui Druez en Liesbeth De Ceulaer maakte ze &#8216;I Waited Night &amp; Day&#8217;, een portret over de impact van de Covid-crisis in bejaardentehuizen, voor Canvas. Daarnaast regisseerde ze het tweede seizoen van de populaire jongerenwebserie &#8216;HACKED&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Real Faces&#8217; is Leni Huyghe&#8217;s speelfilmdebuut. De film vertelt het verhaal van Julia (29), een casting agent die van Parijs naar Brussel verhuist na een relatiebreuk, en Eliott (32), een microbioloog die op het punt staat van Brussel naar Groenland te verhuizen voor veldonderzoek naar lichen. Hun toevallige ontmoeting in een Airbnb heeft een onverwachte impact en er vormt zich een bijzondere vriendschap, waarna ze opnieuw afscheid moeten nemen.<\/p>\n<p>Het camerawerk was in handen van Grimm Vandekerckhove, de montage werd verzorgd door Tom Denoyette.
