De film wordt volledig in Belgi\u00eb gedraaid. De sequel van het succesvolle<em> &#8216;Iron Sky&#8217;<\/em> is immers een co-productie tussen Finland, Duitsland en het Belgische Potemkino, bekend van o.a. de horrorfilm <em>&#8216;Welp&#8217;<\/em>. Gedurende acht weken zal &#8216;Iron Sky: The Coming Race&#8217; opgenomen worden in de AED Studio\u2019s in Lint, Antwerpen, met een ploeg van meer dan honderd crewleden, waarvan het merendeel Belgen.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>De<a title=\"Teaser trailer \u2018Iron Sky 2\u2032\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cinevox.be\/nl\/teaser-trailer-iron-sky-2\"> teaser<\/a> die voor de crowdfunding campagne werd gemaakt, werd al meer dan \u00e9\u00e9n miljoen keer bekeken. Zo werd voor de ontwikkeling van de film 250.000 euro opgehaald via crowdfunding. Meer dan 20% van de financiering neem hij voor zijn rekening. \u201cDe reden waarom het Finse productiehuis Iron Sky Universe bij Potemkino aanklopt, is omwille van onze ervaring met de Belgische Tax Shelter en innovatieve financiering zoals crowdfunding.\u201d Potemkino lanceerde voor de film<em> &#8216;Welp&#8217;<\/em> van <strong>Jonas Govaerts<\/strong> een succesvolle crowdfunding campagne waarmee de film extra financiering ophaalde, aldus Peter De Maegd. \u201cBovendien is de Belgische Tax Shelter een onmisbaar instrument om internationale producties naar hier te halen. Zeker in combinatie met lokaal talent en faciliteiten zoals de AED Studio\u2019s bieden we hier sterke financi\u00eble en logistieke mogelijkheden\u201d. In de hoofdrollen vinden we <strong>Lara Rossi<\/strong>, <strong>Udo Kier<\/strong> en <strong>Tom Green<\/strong> en de regisseur is<strong> Timo Vuorensola<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Synopsis<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Twintig jaar na de gebeurtenissen uit Iron Sky is het leven op Aarde door een nucleaire oorlog vervallen in complete chaos. De voormalige Nazi-Maanbasis is het laatste toevluchtsoord van de overblijvers geworden. Maar ook de Maan wordt met de dag onstabieler, geteisterd door steeds sneller op elkaar volgende maanbevingen. Diep onder de Aardse woestenij ligt een kracht \u2013 de Heilige Graal &#8211; die hen misschien nog kan redden \u2026 of die hen voor eens en voor altijd uit zal roeien. Hun laatste hoop is een groep van helden uit te sturen naar het diepste van de Holle Aarde om de Heilige Graal in handen te krijgen. Ze zullen het moeten opnemen tegen de Vril, een eeuwenoud van gedaante wisselende reptielenras en hun leger van dinosaurussen.
