Deze zomer starten in haar thuisstad Rotterdam de opnames van ‘Cobain’, de nieuwe film van Nanouk Leopold<\/strong>, naar een scenario van Stienette Bosklopper<\/strong>. De cast van de film zal bestaan uit debutant Bas Keizer<\/strong>, Naomi Velissariou<\/strong> en Wim Opbrouck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In ‘Cobain’ probeert de 15-jarige Cobain (Bas Keizer) om zijn zwangere moeder Mia (Naomi Velissariou) zo ver te krijgen dat ze haar extreme levensstijl verandert. Als dat niet lukt, neemt Cobain maatregelen.<\/p>\n

Voor Wim Opbrouck is dit een tweede samenwerking met Nanouk Leopold. Hij was eerder te zien in haar film ‘Boven is het stil’, waarvoor hij genomineerd werd voor een Gouden Kalf Beste Mannelijke Bijrol. In ‘Cobain’ zal hij de rol van Wickmayer, de ex van Cobains moeder, vertolken. Voor Opbrouck is het al de zevende Nederlandse langspeler waarin hij te zien zal zijn. \u00a0Vorig jaar was hij ook nog te bewonderen in ‘Ventoux’ van Nicole Van Kilsdonk.<\/p>\n

Director of photography van ‘Cobain’ is de Belg Frank Van den Eeden<\/strong>, de vaste cameraman van Fien Troch<\/strong>, die ook wel vaker van Jan Verheyen<\/strong> en Hans Herbots<\/strong> samenwerkte.<\/p>\n

‘Cobain’ wordt geproduceerd door Circe Films in coproductie met A Private View (BE), Coin Film (DE), The Film Kitchen (NL) en de VPRO. \u00a0De film kreeg steun van het Nederlands Filmfonds, de Film Production Incentive, Eurimages, CoBO, het Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Casa Kafka Pictures, VPRO, WDR en Creative Europe MEDIA Programme. De wereldrechten liggen bij Beta Cinema.<\/p>\n

A Private View doet wel vaker coproducties met Nederland.<\/p>\n
