Film Fest Gent organiseerde op zondag 16 oktober de zesde editie van de Competitie voor Beste Belgische Studentenkortfilms. Winnaar van de Ace + The Fridge Public Choice Award is ‘Boi’<\/em> van Anthony Nti<\/strong>, die studeert aan het RITCS. Vorige maand was Anthony nog te gast op het Filmfestival van Veneti\u00eb met zijn vorige kortfilm ‘Kwaku’.<\/p>\n

‘Boi’ gaat over twee jonge Bulgaarse broers die moeten werken voor hun oom die metaalschroot verzamelt in Belgi\u00eb. Tijdens een werkdag wordt hun relatie getest.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

De publieksprijs is goed voor een gradingsessie ter waarde van \u20ac 6500 bij het audiovisueel postproductiehuis ACE + The Fridge voor een volgend filmproject.<\/p>\n

Alle studenten uit de erkende Vlaamse, Waalse en Brusselse filmscholen konden deelnemen aan de competitie. Naast de Ace + The Fridge Publieksprijs, reikt de professionele jury bestaande uit regisseurs Stephan Streker<\/strong>, Samuel Lampaert<\/strong>, Karen V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, producent Xavier Rombaut<\/strong>, actrice Sachli Gholamalizad<\/strong> en scenariste Sanne Nuyens<\/strong> de Nationale Loterij Prijs voor Beste Belgische Studentenkortfilm uit. Voor de uitreiking van deze prijs, ter waarde van \u20ac 2000, is het nog wachten tot vrijdag 21 oktober.<\/p>\n

Film Fest Gent wil met de Competitie voor Beste Belgische Studentenkortfilm het belang van de kortfilm onderstrepen en jonge, getalenteerde filmmakers zicht geven op een mooie carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n
